Pepperstone Trading Platforms

Pepperstone is a very versatile brokerage who offers their clients a wide selection of investment products and also platforms. In total, traders can utilize 11 trading platforms stretched out across both desktop and mobile devices. The main platforms are MetaTrader4 and cTrader. See a quick overview of these platforms below.

Meta Trader4 (MT4)

The MT4 platform is one of the most popular trading platforms in the world and is designed to give traders an edge in today’s complex trading environment. The platform comes complete with live quotes, real-time charts, in depth news and analysis, a number of indicators, management tools, and expert advisors (EAs) for automated trading. The MT4 trading platform is downloadable on both Mac, Windows, and Linux desktop computers as well as iOS and Android mobile devices.

cTrader

This trading platform may not be as popular as the MT4 platform, but Pepperstone’s cTrader platform is an amazing and innovative trading platform that provides sophisticated and revolutionary tools and features. As well, the platform is lightning fast and has enhanced charting abilities and a sophisticated order management system. The cTrader platform is slightly less advanced then the MT4 trading platform and more geared towards beginner and intermediate traders. The user interface is intuitively designed and provides a seamless trading experience.

Pepperstone Welcome Offers

Unfortunately, Pepperstone does not currently provide their traders with any sort of incentives for trading with them through bonuses or promotions. However, this may change from time to time. One thing Pepperstone welcomes new traders with is a live demo trading account where they can test out the Pepperstone services and trading platform. Traders receive $100,000 in virtual money that they can use to play around with new investment strategies free of charge and risk.

Also, Pepperstone traders benefit from favorable trading conditions and many options in terms of investment types and tradeable instruments. All traders with Pepperstone benefit from the low latency and high-quality execution speeds of the brokerages servers. Also, traders can trade on flexible leverage of up to 500:1 on currency pairs, precious metals, and commodities. Cryptocurrencies can be traded with leverage of up to 5:1, and never have to actually be purchased so that you can trade them without the risk of losing them. Therefore, with favorable trading conditions like these, Pepperstone feels as though they do not need to entice new traders to their platform.

Pepperstone Commissions & Spreads

Pepperstone utilizes two different pricing models which apply to different account types. For instance, the Razor account is commission based and the Standard account incorporates their fees in the spread. The Razor account features the tightest spreads with averages of around 0.2 pips, with the added commissions of $3.50 per trade, the all-in cost could be 0.95 pips. For the standard account the spreads tend to be wider but there are no added commissions. For day traders, the Razor account or Active Trader accounts offer the most cost-effective option.

What we think of trading at Pepperstone?

Pepperstone is a very successful online trading brokerage and for good reason. They feature amazing trading platforms and offer their clients a wide variety of tradeable assets. Also, they care about their clients and have excellent customer care measures in place. The commissions and spreads are very competitive and reasonable as well. It would have been nice to see some bonuses or promotions offered, but the brokerage is good enough without those incentives. The thing that stood out the most for us about the Pepperstone brokerage is their level of variety for traders. The literally offer something for every trader, whether it’s a tradeable instrument or platform, Pepperstone has many options. All in all, we highly recommend trading with the Pepperstone online trading brokerage.
